To begin, the existence of Area 51 was denied, then later it was wrongfully said to be a military base to test prototype aircraft, but it is in fact an Intelligence base run by the CIA. Crashed UFOs from Rosswell and other crash sites are brought there and reversed engineered, hence the suspect crafts seen flying in this area. Crafts take off and land at regular intervals where questions are raised as to who is in them and whose craft they are... The imperative question of where are they going is often ignored. Their destinations being the moon and Mars - where it is a 33 hour voyage to which - with both having a human colony on them, hence the gaffe about the moon being part of Mars!
